If each one is given equal attention, then the stool remains stable. More often that not the person who kept the stool stable in our family was Grammy.
You see, Grammy thought everyday was a "holiday", and no one could celebrate like Grammy! Whether we gathered around the kitchen while smells of turkey and dressing and pumpkin pies came from the kitchen - everyday was meant to be celebrated. And did we celebrate!
Sometimes we celebrated the professional - a new job, an "A" in school or just making it through the week! Sometimes it was the spiritual - Christmas, Easter, or a baptism.Sometimes it was family and friends - birthdays, cheer-up days, or anniversaries. But most times, it was a blend of the three - taking whatever circumstances existed, throwing in some family and friends, adding thanksgiving to the Lord for all He had provided and serving up good food to eat.
